Kings of Leon are back. Their new album 'Mechanical Bull' is rearing its horns for a late September release and this means a sunny summer of promotion between now and then. It's weird; a summer without Kings Of Leon doesn't really feel right, so as always, the timing is spot on from the band. Watch them slowly creep back into your daily lives, routines and playlists after their three year absence. It will happen, trust us.

'Supersoaker' sees Kings Of Leon return in customary fashion. We love the unrelenting snare hits, but moreover, the celebratory nature of the track. There has been a lot of talk about the band feeling free to experiment and try new things on the new release, devoid of the restrictions of carrying around the 'biggest band on the planet' tag on their shoulders. This can only be positive news for their music making (it will ensure they avoid doing a Coldplay at least), and if 'Supersoaker' is anything to go by, we anticipate an album of mostly highs with a couple of lows thrown in for good measure.

'Mechanical Bull' is out on September 24, 2013. For more information on Kings Of Leon and their most recent adventures, click here.
