As musical outfits go, Dirty Projectors have got that 'interesting and intriguing' angle on lock down. Ten studio albums in the space of nine years (wow), the band are set to release their latest offering 'Swing Lo Magallen' on Domino this July.
If you have ever listened to Dirty Projectors in the past, it is quite clear that 'Dance For you' sits happily at the more sombre and melancholic end of their musical spectrum. Technically sensational and experimentally out there, they are a band that are constantly pushing boundaries.
As a result, it is nice to hear them working with a slightly more reserved musical verve on occasions. This is one of those occasions...
'Swing Lo Magallen' is out on July 9 on Domino Records.
