Stop the press! The Prodigy release their new album ‘The Day Is My Enemy’ on March 30 and you can now hear it in full exclusively on iTunes almost a week before it officially drops. The band introduced the album in January with the uncompromising first single ‘Nasty’, followed shortly after with the album’s title track, and in doing so shaped it up as one of the most exciting albums of 2015. We are excited and you guys should be too…

The band’s new single ‘Wild Frontier’ (see above) came backed by the equally brilliant animated video devised and directed by Mascha Halberstad and it was this reveal that reminded us of just how impactful The Prodigy could be; these guys were our very first introduction to electronic dance music, they introduced us and fed our obsession all those years back and for that we will forever be grateful.

The Prodigy play a huge tour in May including two sold out nights at Alexandra Palace in London. Tickets are in demand so be sure to get searching ASAP if you haven’t already clicked ‘buy’…

In other news, the band have also revealed the much-anticipated ‘Ibiza’ featuring Seaford Mods. In reference to Liam Howlett’s comments regarding the integrity (or lack thereof) in some of today’s dance music culture and the sanitised superstar DJs that fill the white island, the track is another shining example of The Prodigy’s heart-on-the-sleeve punk rock spirit they’ve always championed. ‘Ibiza’ will be released as an exclusive limited edition glow in the dark 7” for Record Store Day on April 18th.

Boy do we ever love this band.
