It’s that time of the year again people. The Brit Awards descends on London’s O2 Arena tonight and with rumours of sensational live performances (Mr Kanye West, Madonna, Sam Smith, the list is endless) and a super strong list of nominees for each and every award this evening, it is safe to say that everything is in place for a classic night for British music.

The Brit Awards 2015 - LMFM predicts…
Following are our hot predictions on who should be leaving the arena with a trophy (or two) in tow. The Brit Awards will take place at London's O2 Arena tonight (February 25) and will air live at 8pm on ITV. The show is also streaming live worldwide on YouTube so you guys have no excuses but to lock in!

So without further ado…

British Male Solo

Sam Smith - Everything is gearing up for a direct face-off between Ed Sheeran and go-to soul crooner Sam Smith, and while Ed Sheeran may have out sold Mr Smith last year, we can’t see any other outcome than a SS victory here.

British Female Solo

Jessie Ware - FKA Twigs will have something to say about this, however, Jessie Ware is a very Brit Awards shaped artist and having followed up her debut album with a solid sophomore release she should have done just enough to win big tonight.

British Group

alt-J - One Direction can stay seated for this one. Royal Blood have a shout but much like Ware, Alt-J are riding a sophomore wave and this should be enough to see them collect the highly desirable gong.

British Breakthrough Act

Royal Blood - Royal Blood and their unique metal renaissance has been hotly celebrated over the past twelve months. So much so that it seems inevitable they will take the breakthrough award for instigating such a healthy renaissance with the British metal scene.

British Producer

Flood - We're going for Flood here for the exemplary work with Warpaint in 2014.

British Single

Sam Smith - "Stay with Me" - It’s almost boring to say it, but, Sam Smith has got this award on lock (even if he did pinch the parts from another artist).

British Video

Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars - "Uptown Funk" - It is impossible to deny Mark Ronson’s iconic party anthem ‘Uptown Funk’, the track is an absolute blinder, but partner it up with the 80’s infused video and well, that right there is a match made in heaven.

British Album of the Year

Ed Sheeran - X - We cannot be sure, but we think Ed is going to take this one. For sales alone he outgunned everyone in 2014 and we expect the Brits panel to honour this with a victory win.

International Male Solo

Beck - With a shortlist as potent as this one it is always tricky to pick a winner, however, Beck’s triumphant return (and subsequent ‘Best Album’ Grammy win) should see the scales tip in his favour this evening.

International Female Solo

Beyonce - We challenge you to see past Beyonce’s triumphant ‘out of the blue’ album release. She actually changed the game with that release and (as they say) that is that.

International Group

Foo Fighters - Dave Grohl and Co. had a triumphant 2014. A new album release of real merit, a handful of HUGE sell-out shows and now a Glastonbury headline slot locked in. Again, we cannot be sure, but, they certainly have a good case to claim the International group prize this every eve.
