Sivu Returns with Brand new Music - Four Leaf Clover
Sivu has premiered brand new track 'Four Leaf Clover', which is taken from his forthcoming EP 'This Unfruitful Love': the first new material since his critically-acclaimed second album 'Sweet Sweet Silent' dropped last year. James has also confirmed details of an intimate headline London show at King’s Place (with accompaniment from The Mangan String Quartet) for the EP's release on February 15th, with additional dates confirmed this week in support of John Smith.

Sivu Returns with Brand new Music - Four Leaf Clover
'Four Leaf Clover', says Sivu, "was written towards the end of 'Sweet Sweet Silent', but to me it felt like a different entity from the new album so I really wanted this track to have a separate life. The song is based around this idea of falling in and out of love with luck itself. Reflecting on my career to date, there have definitely been some extreme high points which I feel truly grateful for, but with that there is always the crushing low points to balance you out. And it's in those moments you are always yearning for those lucky breaks and any opportunities you can, but most of the time you are just waiting for nothing and need to make things happen for yourself."

'Four Leaf Clover' follows Sivu's stunning second album, 'Sweet Sweet Silent', which marked a more contemplative but ultimately uplifting return. The record was conceived in sometimes-exceptional circumstances: in particular, against the backdrop of James’ diagnosis with Meniere’s syndrome, a condition also shared by the likes of Ryan Adams which has seen his hearing increasingly deteriorate in the past two years (and for which he already needs to wear a hearing aid). Produced by Charlie Andrew (the Brit-Award-winner behind the likes of Alt-J and Marika Hackman), and inspired by the likes of Radiohead's 'Amnesiac', Wild Beasts' 'Smother', plus lifelong heroes such as Richard Hawley – what emerged proved to be a record worth fighting for.
