This Thursday July 12th Live&Loud descends upon the Purple Turtle, Reading like a sexy plague of mental rock fury.
Featuring three fine acts from in and around Reading tonight’s show is guaranteed to rip your ears apart, shove them back down your throats and not even thank you for the pleasure…
Ghost of the Highway play tight, witty, louchey punk rock. Touches of Weezer-esque American alt rock combine with solid English indie style to create a varied, polished and exciting sound. Class.
Betterlate juxtapose casual, slightly angsty vocals with solid riffage and a brutal line in savage drum-work. Despite their relative youthfulness they know how to string a song together and are building something of a reputation as a live act. Worth checking out.
Checkpoint are a tight as fuck unit from Reading. With a huge underground a matter of time before the city’s equivalent to New Found Glory start attracting some serious attention from the industry. See ‘em before they’re huge.
Get in.
