Tonight Liveandloud return to Oxford for another spectacular night of live music, featuring three superb bands from the live circuit, the sort of special atmosphere that only comes form Livandloud’s bights and enough swagger to floor three Westwoods.
This is one of the most exciting line-ups we’ve had the honour of hosting for some time now and you can mark our word when we tell you that you will not be disappointed by the calibre and class on display here tonight…
Caravan Whores play slow-burning, progressive rock with elements of psychedelia and shoe-gaze thrown in for good measure. Captivatingly heavy, beautifully balanced and epic in their scale, these boys pull no punches in ripping their tunes up. Colossal stuff.
Lucretia build synth-based prog into classic riffage interspersed with fanciful, fantastical imagery and multi-instrumental experimentalism. Indulgent, filling and rich- sort of like a pudding party at Vanessa Feltz’s house- they deserve your attention, and probably a couple of statin pills for the inevitable cholesterol attack you might experience after ingesting such a high-calorie musical dessert.
Mmm
K Lacura purvey relentlessly heavy hardcore. The sort of hardcore that could probably get you either sectioned. Or deported from a Middle Eastern country. Don’t let that put you of though, they’re gloriously tight with savage momentum to their riffage, soaring harmonies breaking up the brutality and an exquisite level of musical genius to their solos. Truly awe-inspiring.
This one’s going to be a blinder.
See you in the pit.
