What a spectacular turn up for the books…

Silence had fallen so comprehensively on camp Jamie T over the last few years that many thought he may never pick up a guitar again, and yet, 2014 saw the much lauded singer songwriter return with arguably his finest material to date. ‘Carry On The Grudge’ was more than a return, it was a strikingly powerful reminder of Jamie T the musical force, but more, it acted as fine example of the benefits of taking a long and silent break from the circles in which you are revered and (dare we say it) worshipped.

Jamie T - the comeback king of 2014
We have said it before (but we will say it countless times again), aside from the music, silence is a musicians best friend and Jamie T is the latest example of this, however, once the iron is hot it is often hard to ignore. On this, and fresh off the back of him cleaning up at the recent NME Awards, Jamie T has announced plans for the follow-up to ‘Carry On The Grudge’ with a new EP packed with original music and cover songs.

'Magnolia Melancholia' will be released on April 06 and is anchored by lead single ‘Don’t You Find’ which has been simmering online for the last few months (see above). As expected, the Internet melted a little when news of the EP dropped and we are more than happy to contribute to the heatwave.

The 'Magnolia Melancholia' tracklisting is as follows:

'Don’t You Find'
'Marilyn Monroe'
'Mama Don’t Smoke'
'Magnolia Melancholia'
'Riverbed'
'Bastards Of Young'
