IS 50 CENT GAY?

The Game has a way with words. Not only does he make a living out of it, he also has a tendency of getting straight to the point without any sense of compassion or regard for the people he may or may not offend in real life. A fairly standard rapper get-up really.

Only last week, The Game came out (see what I did there) with a string of comments detailing his stance on homosexuality, but more significantly, homosexuality in Hip Hop. Take a look at the interview snippet on VLAD TV.

Now while most of the things he said are acceptable "The Game don't have a problem with gays" as an example, his comments regarding people in the closet were far more sketchy.

"Game has a problem with people that are pretending not to be gay but are, you know, gay. The number one issue with that is you could be fooling somebody and you can give them AIDS and they can die. That in the closet shit is real scary."

The Game's comments have sparked outrage and kudos in equal measure. Some people have commended him for even discussing these issues, something so frowned upon in rap music, whereas others are accusing him of making things worse for people in the closet who fear condemnation and violence if they were to come out.

How could you possibly make this incident even more spicy? Cue Twitter. The beauty of Twitter, with its 140 word character limit, is that you literally cannot beat around the bush. If you want to say something that has a beginning, a middle and an end (like Stephen Fry) you need some sort of writing skill. That or you just come straight out an say what you have to say.

There have been many infamous outbursts on this glorious platform, but The Game is currently wearing the crown. Only yesterday, he decided to expand upon his claims that there were a number of high profile rappers who were in the closet.

The Game explained…

"Look @TMZ its simple: if your GAY be GAY!!! I don't have a problem with GAY people… I like Elton John's music a lot #StraightTweet"

He continued…

"Why does the word "GAY" always stir up so much MADNESS? If ur GAY, kool. If you're NOT GAY, that's kool 2. Be WHATEVER u wanna be - the game."

He continued…

"@TMZ but look around, s*** I be surprised when I see someone who's not GAY. My girl hair stylist is GAY & he cool. @50cent GAY n we was cool."

Now in a world where a new generation of rappers are slinging around gay slurs to describe just about anything they dislike, this tweet could mean absolutely nothing, but this has not stopped the world's press from taking it and running to the rooftops. This will undoubtedly make 50 Cent really, really angry. Nothing like a good old slice of rap beef to boost album sales. The Game has a brand new album coming out you say? What a coincidence.

The real questions that have to be asked at this point are…

1 - How will 50 cent respond?
2 - Does anyone actually care?
3 - Does The Game realise he has a big red star tattooed on his face?

My personal favourite quote from The Game's interview on VLADTV…

"Beyonce should have said 'Who runs the world? Gays."

Take a look at the interview below.
