Canadian Hardcore compatriots ‘Fucked Up’ have confirmed they are to play their annual Halloween bash in Toronto. It is set to take place at The Garrison on October 31st. Fellow maple leaf lovers The Sadies will join them, other acts it is thought will be added to the bill over the next week.
Many thought the event had been cancelled due to Fucked Up’s previously announced UK tour with Against Me! The band explained the change of tact on their blog - Lookingforgold.blogspot.com
"We were going to go on this tour in the UK with this band Against Me, but then they cancelled all their shows for some reason (they never told us) so the tour isn't happening so we'll be in Toronto so we figure what the hell."
Last year the event took place over three days and included and whole bunch of bands, this year’s will be a slightly toned down affair, "It's really last minute so there is only one show and probably won't feature any cool out of town bands. So far it's just us and the Sadies, and we'll add some other bands I guess, or [promoter] Mark [Pesci] will."
The tickets will only be available on the door – so get there early if you happen to be in Toronto that evening. Easy.
