Odd Future's most prodigious and surreptitious talent Earl Sweatshirt has returned from a military correctional school to rejoin his OF troops - allegedly.
Hailed by fans and critics alike as the most lyrically gifted emcee in the crew, Earl released his first tracks at the age of 16. It was bananas to witness such a young kid display such verve in terms of lyricism, wordplay and (let's be honest) vulgarity. If all is to be believed, Earl's mumsie stumbled upon some of his music and could not live with the filth that was dribbling out of her son's mouth at such a tender age.
The solution?
Send Earl off to military correctional school to purge his innards of the demons that were forcing him to dabble with such filthy thoughts.

It can only be a good thing if Earl actually has returned. One could argue that it is just about as exciting as any 'return to music' we could be hoping for right now. Having chatted to Odd Future in the past about Earl's absence, they are fairly convinced that Earl's story is so unique that it makes for a perfect Hollywood Movie script...
'Young talent in the mould of Lauren Hill from Sister Act 2, incredibly blessed at his craft, is sent away for being too gifted at rap, and has to fight for his right to rock a mike by escaping from a Samoen military youth club to FREEDOM!!!'
We think they may be onto something.
Be warned however; seeing as the Odd Future gang (Tyler especially) love nothing more than winding up the droves of Odd Future followers on the World Wide Web, Earl's return could just be a massive pack of lies. If you think about how many studio edits, snippets, lost tunes, unfinished verses etc that Earl must have amassed before he was lobbed on a plane, this may well be another episode in the Wolf Gang piss-take-revolution.
We demand photographic evidence with timestamps and everything!!
