The Brit Awards came to town yesterday and did a pretty brilliant job of showcasing that the cream of British pop music are up there with the best on the planet right now.
Sure, our predictions from a few weeks back may have been slightly off (6 out of 11), but that does not take away from the fact that British talent is doing a really decent job of flying the flag in 2012.
There was a nice and spicy mix of spectacular live performances, a tasty mix of decent (and slightly shabby) acceptance speeches and James Cordon being a bit of a numpty throughout - the standout moment being when he cut Adele's acceptance speech for Best British Album short as the broadcast was running late.
Standout live performances have to go to Rihanna who never fails to disappoint on stage and a fantastic closing show from Blur.
