About T-Shirts For Americans
T-Shirts for Americans formed in early 2009 in the Northern stronghold of Lancaster, three members of the pop/rock band Anderson decided to keep working together after the departure of percussionist Matthew Ashford. The band consists of Dominic Leighton on Guitar and lead vocals, Neil Wearing on bass and Laurie Ibs who has moved from lead Guitar / backing vocals to percussion and backing vocals.
Their former softer sound has begun to coalesce into a alternative rock / grunge sound which nods its head towards the likes of Pearl Jam, Therapy?, Filter, and Tool to name a few. The only recording at present is a two track demo which merely hints at their stripped back, edgier sound, new recordings are planned in spring of 2010 which will better highlight this 'bringing back grunge' feel that the band are now developing.
