About 85 Bears
85 bears, who hail hail from the Eastern side of London town came to fruition on the first sight of daylight mid 2007. Comprising of Adam on guitars(Hentai,Hiemlich manouevre,Burma guns) Alex on bass(Miocene) and Ben on drums(Burma guns) 85 bears conjure up a sound that recalls the Scenes of early 90's Kentucky, mid 90's Chicago and late 90's Pennsylvania.
Driven by beats that sound like the spawn of a John Bonham/Damon Che love child, the rumbling but melodic basslines carry along the angular guitars. Although vocal-less, this goes totally unnoticed with the intricacy yet subtle dynamics of their 'tunes'(not songs!)
Where their recordings capture their spirit, this is not fully experienced until they are witnessed live. Though they have not been on the live circuit for long they are already amassing a loyal following.
